MyThorne AI _ AI-powered career readiness platform
MyThorne AI is a career readiness platform that helps learners build interview, communication, resume, and workplace skills through guided AI practice. I designed the product experience across AI interviews, CV analysis, speech coaching, work simulations, and the marketing website.

What is it
MyThorne AI is designed to help learners prepare for the workplace through practical, repeatable, and supportive experiences.
The platform brings four core experiences together:
AI interview practice — guided mock interviews with AI feedback
CV analysis — resume scoring and improvement suggestions
Speech coach — feedback on speaking pace, clarity, and communication
Work simulations — role-based practice for real workplace scenarios
The product is designed around a simple principle:
Practice should feel supportive before it feels challenging.

What were the challenges
Making AI feel approachable
AI-powered features can feel complex or intimidating, especially for learners using them for the first time.
Reducing cognitive load
The platform contains multiple tools, scores, recommendations, and practice activities. Presenting everything at once could overwhelm users.
Designing for different learners
The experience needed to support learners with different communication styles, abilities, and confidence levels.
Connecting practice to progress
Users needed to understand not only their score, but also what they should improve and what to do next.
Creating an experience for two audiences
The product needed to work for learners while also communicating value to schools, educators, and organizations
The methods I followed
Product discovery
Defined the key users, product goals, and primary use cases.
User flow mapping
Mapped the major journeys from onboarding to practice and feedback.
Information architecture
Grouped features according to user goals instead of technical functionality.
UX writing
Simplified instructions, labels, feedback, tooltips, and CTAs.
Wireframing
Tested hierarchy and interaction patterns before moving into visual design.
UI design
Created a clean, accessible interface with consistent components and visual hierarchy.
Prototyping
Built interactive flows for key product experiences.
Design system
Established reusable components, typography, spacing, colors, states, and interaction patterns.
Final design
The final product experience connects practice, feedback, and progression into one ecosystem.
AI interview practice
Learners select a career and role, prepare their camera and microphone, complete a guided interview, and receive an overview of their performance.
CV analysis
Users receive a resume score, identify missing or weaker sections, and get AI-powered suggestions for improving their CV.
Speech coach
The system evaluates communication areas such as:
Speaking pace
Eye contact
Voice clarity
Confidence
Fillers
Professionalism
Work simulations
Learners practice realistic workplace situations based on their chosen career path and role.
Progress overview
The dashboard brings important signals together so users can quickly understand where they are and what they should work on next.
