Crypto Currency wallet
I designed a crypto wallet mobile app that introduces users to digital currency management with a simple and secure experience. The design currently covers the splash screen, onboarding journey, authentication (sign in & sign up), and home screen. This project focuses on building trust, educating first-time users, and creating a seamless entry into the crypto ecosystem.
What is it
The Crypto Wallet App is a mobile-first wallet design aimed at users who want to securely store, track, and manage their cryptocurrencies. Since many new users feel overwhelmed by crypto apps, I concentrated on making the early touchpoints
onboarding, sign-in, and home to ensure clear, approachable, and trustworthy.
How I think
Crypto is powerful but often intimidating. My thinking process was guided by one principle: make it simple, make it safe. The onboarding flow needed to educate without overwhelming, while the sign-in/sign-up had to balance security with ease of use. The home screen was designed as a clear dashboard where users could see their balances and quick actions at a glance
What are the challenges
Many crypto apps look complex and scare off beginners.
Security is crucial, but it must not compromise usability.
Onboarding had to explain the benefits quickly without boring users.
Designing a home screen that is both data-rich and uncluttered.
How I solve
Crafted short, focused onboarding screens with simple visuals and minimal text.
Designed a clean authentication flow (sign in / sign up) with clear inputs and visible security cues.
Kept the home dashboard minimal, showing balances and key actions (send, receive, track) without overload.
Used crypto-inspired but modern design language (dark mode, gradients, card components) to build trust while keeping it engaging.
The methods I followed
I applied a mix of practical techniques:
Competitor Review: Studied existing wallets (Trust Wallet, Coinbase, MetaMask) to identify strengths and user pain points.
User Journey Mapping: Outlined the first-time user flow (from splash → onboarding → account creation → home).
Wireframing: Sketched simple versions of the onboarding and sign-up flow to test clarity.
UI Design: Applied a modern visual style with bold typography, card layouts, and secure-looking interactions.
Micro-Interactions: Added subtle touches (progress indicators, smooth transitions) to make the experience feel fluid and polished.
Final design
The app currently includes:
Splash screen with bold branding
Onboarding flow that introduces security and key features
Sign in / Sign up screens with a clean, trustworthy design
Home screen that shows balances and core actions in a minimal, card-based layout
The design sets the foundation for expansion into features like transaction history, portfolio analytics, and exchange integration.
Usability testing
Even at this early stage, I shared the prototype with test users. Their feedback highlighted key improvements:
Shorter onboarding: Users preferred fewer steps → condensed to 3 screens
Clearer security cues: Added visual emphasis on password strength and recovery phrase
Simple home layout: Users liked a “quick glance” balance card over heavy charts
Conclusion
This project demonstrates my ability to design early-stage product foundations: setting the tone for trust, usability, and scalability. The Crypto Wallet App, while not fully built yet, shows how I can take a complex, technical domain like crypto and design an entry experience that feels safe, modern, and beginner-friendly.
